Respect the ever-changing flow of life
Yes, life happens in a lot of ways you can’t possibly imagine at once. There are ways that you can break- mentally, physically, emotionally and it’s ok. There won’t be any time in your life when a hundred percent of the things will go your way and everything just might not work out for you.
As a leader, you must acknowledge the meandering flow of life and accept the suffering of life. The hardships that will most definitely come your way- are better if they’re chosen by you. If you can manage that then all the hardships you face will become much easier- you’ll be able to make sense of it.
Be flexible
If you’re able to take more ideas on board, ideas that you yourself can’t fathom. You’re going in a great direction. A lot of times leaders will lose steam and feel demotivated if they’re suffering from a new problem they’re unable to solve creatively.
When that is the case, it is a great strategy to be much more flexible and take more ideas on board from your team and peers. If you’re more flexible with your problem-solving process and take on a diverse set of ideas into consideration, you’ll not only reach a solution faster but essentially be more motivated.
Keep learning and also gather second-hand experience
A lot of people get stuck inside their own heads fining solutions to leadership problems and that’s where they miss out on an opportunity to learn and grow. Growth and motivation are ever-present so long as you’re willing to learn and add more skills to your repertoire.
Another great practice that is a direct solution to how leaders stay motivated is getting second-hand experience. Listen to people, regardless of their age, race, or gender- there is much to be learned from their experience.
